As my If Only… segment died a slow death, I’m replacing it with this new segment, not that it’s likely to be updated any quicker than its predecessor. But I did read a couple of humorous articles this week that were worth a mention.
Kimchi Troubles
Reuters reports that there is peace at last in the kimchi row that has been pickling relations between China and South Korea. South Korea banned imports of its favourite pickled cabbages after it found parasites in Chinese imports that were commonly found in human faeces. China responded by banning certain imports of South Korean products.
Now, however, things are cooling down and there are likely to be discussions on kimchi to cool the row. Delicious news for both sides.
Holy Frazzled Cows!
In Australia, Reuters also reported that 68 cows were found dead after a lightning strike in a field. Well, at least it saved having to grill the hundreds of steaks later on…
Curiously, 69 cows were left unharmed. They were probably the smart ones who knew not to stand in a field when there is a thunderstorm around.
