Gosh, within 9 days, three bits of amazing news in the world of love came to me:
Engagement: Congratulations to Gabbie, my colleague, who got engaged just over a week ago. I hope that spiral bound book marked ‘Wedding’ is filling up nicely
Marriage: Congratulations to Lin, one of my friends in Shenzhen, on getting married earlier this month! Sorry I missed it!
Baby: And congratulations to Rebecca, one of my former colleagues in Australia, as she’s expecting her baby in a couple of weeks’ time! Best wishes come your way!
Ahhh…… So sweet…… Look how the world’s growing up!
* IF ONLY… CATS HAD WINGS *
… then it wouldn’t have been such a problem. A Chinese television company had to apologise for throwing a cat out of a fourth floor window to demonstrate that it could land on its feet. Reminds me of when New Scientist and its readers once famously debated whether attaching buttered toast to the back of a cat can create a hovering machine. (Cats always land on their feet vs. toast always lands butter side down…)
Well, none of these can explain, however, why two of my friends’ (Rui and Charles) cat jumped out of their flat window in Hong Kong a while ago. Some 38 storeys up. Maybe it thought it was Supercat?
