Simply beautiful. I attended a wedding for Clare, a friend from university, last Saturday in Oxford. And oh, how it was so beautiful.
Clare had arrived in a gorgeous white dress, one she designed herself, and so amazingly unique and classy for the occasion at Christ Church Cathedral. The marriage itself was unique, she a Chinese girl who grew up in the Midlands, and her beau, a Japanese man, whose family had come all the way for this special occasion. In what was a multicultural occasion, the wedding was simply beautiful and all of us who attended the wedding were proud of the couple beyond what words could actually describe.
Clare’s wedding is actually the first of a number I’ll be attending over the next year or so, and of course, probably longer. It always amazes me how love manifests itself in people’s lives. One may be cynical, one may even be sceptical, but when we see the days when two people can proclaim their love to the world, even the hardest hearts melt.
Congratulations, Clare, and may your future life with your husband be as joyful as the days gone by!
