Sorry for the lack of updates to my blog recently. I admit I’ve been both too occupied and lazy to add another post in the last week or so. In that time, Arsenal have made it into the UEFA Champions League semi finals for the first time ever (go Gunners!), I’ve managed to lose a few quid in my poker night, and I’ve been doing lots of training workshops at work.
Anyway, a highlight of the last few days has been the visit of my best friend, Jing, who has popped by for a few days in London from her hectic life as a radiologist in Baltimore, MD, in the US. It’s been two years since I last saw her, and it’s always nice to catch up with old friends.
One realises with such visits how much life can change over time. Six years ago when we first met, we were students at Oxford, today, we’re professionals, she a doctor and I in a management post. We’re both different characters now with different roles to play in the world.
Anyway, it’s not the end of catching up with old friends yet. Whilst Jing has now gone on to the Middle East in her travels, I’m off to the Far East at the end of the week, to catch up with old friends in Hong Kong. Hope to be fun!
