Well, not really any Dover soles found yet, but I am here in the town of Dover. White cliffs and all that. I have a tendency to hum a few Dame Vera Lynn classics on occasion. It’s a long way to Tipperary for sure. Anyway, there isn’t much here to see, so this blog site may get a bit boring for a while…
But my farewell to Boston was a happy one. It was one of those where it’s more au revoir than goodbye for good. A few colleagues joined me for drinks (and later dinner) on my last Friday (thanks guys – I’ll probably be back soon!). And on Saturday, I joined Annie to take advantage of Massachusett’s first sales tax holiday at the CambridgeSide Mall, before joining her friends for dinner and a concert on Boston Common (the LandMark Orchestra was playing classical music from the movies).
And so that was my farewell. I do love Boston. I admit it. And I’m sure I will return soon. But there will be many memories I’ll keep for a long time. Thanks, Boston.
