London won the bid to host the Olympic Games in 2012, amazingly beating the Parisians at the last moment when bidding began. Congratulations to my hometown and I certainly look forward to a great Games in seven years’ time!

I think I can now safely say there is a trend going on amongst my friends. Congratulations to Peter P. who got engaged recently. Also to Miki, who is getting married too (not to Peter P., in case you’re confused now).
