First Thanksgiving

My first trip to the States was in November 2001, when I spent my first Thanksgiving with Ling.
A manic four day tour of Massachusetts' largest city followed and I have to say that it was some of the best fun I had.
Despite the fact I had a digital camera, I didn't take many photos, and those that I do have, I'm not allowed to publish
or someone will kill me! But here's a taster...

Boston Tea Party is one of the most famous places to visit...
Fortunately for me (being British-born), the place was closed!

John Harvard was the person Harvard University was named after.
The tradition goes that everyone one has to touch his left foot -
and so many do that his left foot is actually shiny!
Well, just thought I'd do my bit but shining it a bit more!

Ling in her dreamland...

Imagine being woken up to this view. Well the sun was kind enough to be our alarm clock...

The tour to go on in Boston is the Duck Tour (tickets can be bought
from the Prudential Center). These are amphibious WWII vehicles
that you travel in with a guide and not only do you get a tour
on land, but you also get a chance on water on the Charles River!
Oh, and a message to Captain Cookie - Quack Quack!

A very happy Ling in one of her favourite eating places, The Penang

The half Malaysian, Lest, pondering very hard about how to translate the Malay Menu
into a beautifully wonderful dinner!
