Haziness in Malaysia

In February, I talked about the infamous 'Haze' that pollutes the skies of western Malaysia. Then, I could easily see the smoky mist hanging in the air and reducing visibility all round in the heat. Then it
was a product of the 'slash and burn' of the rainforests in neighbouring Indonesia.

Well, they've come back to Malaysia and have since got worse. In fact, it's been reported to be the worst since the first haze in 1997 and a couple of towns had emergency status due to the poor pollution. Thankfully, some rains and a change in rains have brought respite to Malaysia, and Malaysian firefighters have gone to help the Indonesians put out the blaze. But more needs to be done. Hopefully a message will get across there that these fires are terrible for everyone.
